Objectives of the GRE Quantitative Reasoning: About the Quantitative Reasoning Section Chapter

The quantitative reasoning portion of the GRE is designed to assess your competence with arithmetic, algebra, geometry and data analysis topics you may not have studied since high school. You'll find four types of questions on the quantitative reasoning portion of the GRE: single-answer multiple-choice, multiple-answer multiple-choice, number comparisons, and numeric entry (or fill-in-the-blank).
