Japan has an ancient architectural tradition, but is also at the forefront of modern design. In this lesson, we'll explore modern Japanese architecture and see what defines it.
7. Streamline Moderne: Houses, Furniture & Architecture
What could an airplane, a bullet and a building possibly have in common? Some of them reflect similar design elements. In this lesson, explore a 20th-century style called Streamline Moderne.
8. New Objectivity: Art, Architecture & Literature
How does a culture deal with being demoralized? In this lesson, we'll examine the New Objectivity movement and see how it represented a reaction to changes in the world at that time.
