MTEL Math: Analytic Geometry & Conic Sections Chapter Objectives

Math teacher candidates of Massachusetts take the Massachusetts Test for Educator Licensure (MTEL) Mathematics exam to demonstrate their mathematical skills and knowledge and become certified math teachers. To complete this computer-based exam you must answer 100 multiple-choice questions and two open-response assignments in a four-hour testing session. Nineteen percent of this exam is composed of multiple-choice questions about geometry and measurement, including some on analytical geometry and conic sections.
