MTEL Math: Scientific Notation Chapter Objectives

The MTEL math exam is intended to measure your aptitude as an educator of mathematics in the state of Massachusetts. It is composed of 100 multiple-choice questions spread across five subareas, as well as two open-response questions. You'll have up to four hours to finish the entire test. This chapter can help you study for the number sense and operations subarea, particularly the section focused on the properties of real and complex numbers and the real and complex number systems. As a whole, this subarea makes up 12% of the exam's content.
