After reading this lesson, you'll see how easy it is to solve geometry problems with a coordinate plane. You'll learn how the Pythagorean Theorem can help you find the distance between two points and how easy it is to find the area of a rectangle.

### 2. Slope, Midpoint, Parallelism & Distance in the Coordinate Plane

Slope, midpoint, parallelism, and distance are all properties of two-dimensional shapes. These properties can be discerned when these shapes are drawn onto a coordinate plane.

### 3. Analytic Geometry: Definition & Proofs

This lesson introduces the subject of analytic geometry. You will see the definitions and formulas of important concepts such as distance, midpoint, and slope, as well as a few simple proof examples.

### 4. Graphing Circles: Identifying the Formula, Center and Radius

Discover how to graph circles by finding key information like the center and radius. Identify circles by simply looking at the formula, and vice versa.

### 5. Transformations in Math: Definition & Graph

In geometry, transformation refers to the movement of objects in the coordinate plane. This lesson will define and give examples of each of the four common transformations and end with a quiz to make sure you are moving in the right direction.

### 6. Dilation in a Coordinate Plane

This lesson illustrates a dilation in a coordinate plane, by demonstrating how to use the origin as the center of the dilation and the given scale factor to find the coordinates of the vertices of the image.

### 7. Rotations in Math: Definition & Overview

A geometric rotation refers to the rotating of a figure around a center of rotation. This lesson will get you going on rotations, give you some examples, and end with a quiz that tests your knowledge of rotations.

### 8. How to Graph Reflections Across Axes, the Origin, and Line y=x

A graph can be reflected in three ways - across the axes, the origin and the line y = x. There are specific rules to perform each reflection. This lesson will describe those rules and show you how to perform these reflections.

### 9. Tessellation: Definition & Examples

In this lesson you will learn what a tessellation is and how to determine whether or not a pattern is a tessellation. After looking at some examples, you can take a brief quiz to see what you learned.
