Objectives of the MTTC History: Islam Chapter

The MTTC History exam evaluates your knowledge and comprehension of American and world history, including the great religious traditions of the world. Your score on this exam will be used to determine your eligibility for a teacher's license in history in the state of Michigan. Questions on Islam can be found in the the World History section, which makes up about 33% of the test questions. By taking the self-assessment quizzes, you will get an idea of the kinds of questions that will be asked on the actual exam.

The MTTC History exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions and may be taken as either a paper-and-pencil exam or a computer-based test. In either case, you will read a passage or a question and be presented with multiple possible responses. You will be asked to select the one response that is correct.
