### MTTC Math (Secondary): Operations with Fractions - Objectives

Earning a mathematics teaching endorsement in Michigan requires passing a test such as the MTTC Math (Secondary) examination. Your ability to solve, understand and teach fractions will be assessed during the 'Mathematical Processes and Number Concepts' sub-area of the examination, which contains the equivalent of 22% of the questions. There is a paper-based version of the test, or you may take it by computer. The allotted time for the paper-based test is four hours and 30 minutes, while the computer-based version allows two hours and 30 minutes for completion. Each version consists of 80 multiple-choice questions.
