MTTC Middle Level: Collaboration & Professional Development - Chapter Summary
This series of short, engaging lessons will help you improve your understanding of the duties of middle-level teachers, as well as the importance of collaboration and professional development. Before the exam, follow along with our expert instructors as you strive to improve your understanding of:

MTTC Middle Level: Collaboration & Professional Development Objectives
Future middle school teachers in the state of Michigan take the MTTC Middle Level exam to demonstrate their knowledge of the philosophy, methods and professional responsibilities of middle school teachers. Test takers of this paper-based certification exam are administered 100 multiple-choice questions, in four-hour and 30-minute testing session. A computerized version that includes the same number of questions has a time limit of two hours and 30 minutes. When you take this exam, you can expect 18% of the material covered in it to belong to the subarea of Collaboration and Professional Development.

This lesson will look at how educators can access and apply professional development to improve their teaching practices.
6. Professional Roles & Responsibilities of Middle School Teachers
In this lesson, you'll see how to manage the middle school classroom environment and time. You'll learn about differentiating instruction, identifying learning differences, and assessing learning, as well as other requirements.
