NES Essential Academic Skills Writing: Verb Tenses and Types Objectives

This chapter is designed to prepare you for questions in the conventions of Standard Written English and Sentence Formation subareas of the exam. It will also help you out with the written assignment, which requires that you demonstrate correct grammar usage.

The NES Writing test is a licensure requirement for teachers in many states. The exam is made up of 36 multiple-choice questions and one written response. 75% of your score comes from the multiple-choice questions, with the written assignment accounting for the other 25%.
