The NES Middle Grades Math assessment is designed to help teachers secure licensure or certification in their state and become math educators at the middle grades level. The test is computer-based and features 150 multiple-choice questions that examine a variety of subject areas. Topics in this statistics chapter are found in the statistics, probability and discrete math content domain, which constitutes approximately 25% of the total exam. To pass the assessment, you must earn a minimum score of 220. In Oregon, the minimum passing score is 225.
