### NES Middle Grades Math: Symmetry, Similarity & Congruence Objectives

There are four content domains in the NES Middle Grades Mathematics exam: this chapter falls under the Measurements and Geometry domain, which accounts for 25% of the test content. It relates especially to Objective 008, Euclidean geometry, which asks you to demonstrate an understanding of similarity and congruence, among other topics. There are 150 multiple-choice questions on the exam, which you have 4 hours and 15 minutes to complete. To pass the exam, you must score 220 on the 100-300 scaled score system.

The NES website has more information on testing centers and times. There, you will also register for the exam and retrieve your detailed score report a couple of weeks after the test. You will not have to wait that long to know if you passed, however, because they grade your exam at the testing center and provide your scaled score before you leave.
