### NES Middle Grades Math: Transformations Chapter Objectives

There are four content domains in the NES Middle Grades Mathematics test; the lessons in this chapter will primarily respond to content in the Measurement and Geometry domain (which makes up 25% of the test). Objective 0009 is the related objective, which requires test-takers to demonstrate an understanding of transformational geometry. You must complete the 150 multiple-choice questions in the test within 4 hours and 15 minutes and achieve a score of 220 on a scale of 100-300.

### 6. Identifying the Line of Symmetry: Definition & Examples

Symmetry can occur in many different ways in mathematics. In this lesson, learn how to identify unique forms of symmetry by finding the line of symmetry.

### 7. Graphing Translations & Finding a Set of Coordinates

In this lesson, you're going to learn how to translate figures by counting boxes, find the coordinates of points, and learn how to translate a figure more quickly using simple math.
