NMTA Middle Grades Social Science: Industrialization Chapter Objectives

The NMTA Middle Grades Social Science exam evaluates your knowledge of several aspects of social science including history, geography and culture, government and economics. You need to pass the test as part of the process become licensed as a social studies teacher in the state of New Mexico. The topics in this Industrialization chapter fall within Domain I: History, which makes up 50% of the test questions. The videos walk you through the topics you need to review, and the self-assessment quizzes will enable you to check on your progress and gain practice taking the types of questions that will be on the exam.

There are 150 multiple-choice items on the test. Each one will present you with a passage or question followed by an array of response possibilities. From these, you must choose the correct answer.
