Ch 25: NMTA Math: Limits

About This Chapter

New Mexico now uses the National Evaluation Series (NES) examination for teacher certification rather than the NMTA Math examination. In preparation for earning a mathematics endorsement, you can study this chapter's online video lessons on limits.

NMTA Math: Limits - Chapter Summary

When you watch these instructional video lessons, you'll expand on what you know already know about the rules for defining and calculating limits. Review some strategies for graphing limits and for determining the properties of limits. Apply these techniques when you take the NMTA Math examination. This chapter assists you with:

  • Writing limits mathematically
  • Calculating the limits of functions
  • Defining limits with graphs
  • Comparing limits and continuity
  • Working with one-sided limits

These convenient video lessons are taught by instructors who happen to be experienced mathematicians. They provide step-by-step techniques and answer your submitted questions on limits. Study the presented concepts as you get ready to sit for the NMTA Math examination. You can pause the videos and replay specific parts with the video tags, and you can consult the text transcripts. When you reach the end of the lessons, the short quizzes that follow will test your knowledge.
