## NMTA Math: Trigonometric Graphs - Chapter Summary

New Mexico State has replaced the NTMA math test with the NES Mathematics test. ### Objectives for the NMTA Math: Trigonometric Graphs Chapter

If you desire teaching licensure in New Mexico, you may find yourself signing up for the NMTA Math test. It's a computer-based test of 150 multiple-choice questions sectioned into 5 parts. The 4th section, on Trigonometry and Calculus, is where you're likely to encounter questions about trigonometric graphs. This section constitutes about 19% of the test and will assess your ability to relate between trigonometric functions and corresponding graphs. Using graphs in general is an important skill that you'll see throughout other sections of the test, too.

### 1. Graphing Sine and Cosine Transformations

After watching this video lesson, you will be able to use graphs to determine whether an equation is a trigonometric identity or not. Learn what you need to look for to determine this.

### 5. Solving a Trigonometric Equation Graphically

How can you show someone that you have the right answer? This video lesson will show you how you can do this for a trigonometric equation. Learn what you need to watch for and how to get your answers.
