NMTA: The Making of a New Nation - Chapter Objectives

The NMTA Middle Grades Social Science exam is a structured test measuring your comprehension of many aspects of social science. A passing grade is needed in order to obtain a teacher's license in the state of New Mexico. The lessons in The Making of a New Nation are found in Domain I: History, which makes up half of the questions on the exam. The video lessons review all the important events and names associated with the years surrounding the American Revolution and the young United States. The self-assessment quizzes provide you with an opportunity to test your mastery of the content and practice answering questions like the ones on the test.

The test consists of 150 multiple-choice items covering social science. You will read paragraphs and questions followed by different response alternatives from which you must choose the single correct response.
