NYSTCE English Language Arts - Instructional Strategies Objectives

The Pedagogical Content Knowledge section of the NYSTCE English Language Arts examination is where you'll apply the facts you've studied in this chapter. The last of nine examination sections, Pedagogical Content Knowledge is the equivalent of 20% of the test score. The section will evaluate your ability to create effective instructional strategies, promote students' academic achievement and determine their preparedness to absorb new information. On the whole, the examination includes 90 selected-response questions and one constructed-response question. The computer-administered test should be completed in less than three hours and 15 minutes.
