Objectives of the OAE Mathematics: Decimals & Percents Chapter

Use this chapter to master the decimals and percents concepts Ohio educators are expected to master to become certified to teach mathematics. If you work through the lesson quizzes, you'll get the added bonus of seeing what questions on the OAE Math exam could look like, since our self-assessments are modeled after the multiple-choice tasks on this computer-administered exam.

The 150-question test is divided into five content areas. The first four each make up 19% of the exam, and are as follows: math processes and number sense; measurement and geometry; trig and calculus; and statistics, probability and discrete math. The final portion on patterns, algebra and functions makes up the final 24% of the test. Decimal and percent-related problems can be found within the math processes and number sense section. You will have four hours and fifteen minutes to complete the OAE Math test.
