ORELA Business Education: Operations Management- Chapter Objectives

The Operations Management chapter is designed to provide an overview of basic operations management strategies and procedures. Knowledge of these topics is needed in order to answer specific questions found in one of the competency areas comprising the first domain of the ORELA Business Education exam. This domain addresses business management, law and ethics and accounts for 19% of the total exam. The Business Education exam is computer-based and consists of 150 multiple-choice questions.

ORELA exams are used in Oregon to measure a beginning teacher's instructional skills and content area knowledge as they pursue licensure in the field. Tests are administered for elementary, middle and high school educators in general English, math, science and social studies concepts as well as art, health, music, physical education and other areas. The Business Education exam is a secondary school assessment and requires a passing score of 234.
