Objectives for the ORELA General Science: Cell Reproduction & Division chapter

Oregon State uses the ORELA General Science test for teacher certification or endorsement. This test is entirely computer-based and approximately 150 multiple-choice questions you'll have 3 hours to complete. The test is subdivided into 4 content domains. Life sciences such as cell biology are tested on the third domain which accounts for about one-fourth of the test. This domain aims to assess your familiarity with, among other things, cell theory mitosis, meiosis and the cell cycle, as well as your ability to compare and contrast organelle structure and function in eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells.
