PLACE Mathematics: Complex Numbers Chapter Objectives

Future math teachers in the state of Colorado are required to take the PLACE Mathematics for certification. This is a four hour and 30 minutes, paper-based exam that is composed of all multiple-choice questions. Of the material covered by the exam, 19% of the questions are part of the foundations of mathematics section; this section may test your understanding of complex numbers. The objective of this chapter is to prepare you for these questions through a series of short engaging lesson videos and quizzes about complex numbers.
