PLACE Mathematics: Logic Objectives

PLACE Mathematics is the certification exam used in the state of Colorado to certify math teachers. This paper-based exam consists of a series of multiple-choice questions, for which test takers are given four and a half hours to complete. Some of these questions are on understanding functions and relations in mathematics. This chapter covers the logic behind mathematics and the use of critical thinking as a way to prepare you for these questions.
