Praxis Biology & General Science: Objectives

The Praxis Biology & General Science exam is used to determine your eligibility to be licensed as a general science or biology teacher. The exact requirements for licensing or certification, including the minimum score you'll need, vary by state.

The exam consists of 120 questions, each of them multiple choice. Physics accounts for about ten percent of the exam, or 12 questions. These 12 questions cover:

  • Environmental issues related to physics
  • Mechanics
  • Atomic and nuclear physics
