Praxis Mathematics: Objectives

The Praxis Mathematics: Content Knowledge exam determines your readiness for licensing as a secondary-school math teacher. The exam looks at your knowledge, skill, and abilities in mathematical problem solving, reasoning and proof, representation, connections, and use of technology.

The test includes 50 questions, all multiple choice. The geometry portion of the test includes about five questions, or approximately ten percent of the exam.

After every video lesson, you'll have the opportunity to take a self-assessment quiz. As you complete the lesson, take the quiz to gauge how well you learned the most important ideas in that lesson. Quizzes also allow you to get experience with the kinds of questions you find on the Praxis exam itself.
