Praxis Mathematics: Objectives

The Praxis Mathematics: Content Knowledge exam determines your readiness for licensing as a secondary-school math teacher. The exam looks at your skill,knowledge, and abilities in mathematical reasoning and proof, representation, connections, problem solving, and use of technology.

The test includes 50 questions, each in multiple-choice format. The Algebra and Number theory portion of the test includes approximately eight questions, or 16% of the exam.

Every video lesson includes a self-assessment quiz. As you complete each lesson, the quiz will allow to gauge your understanding of the material. The quizzes also allow you to get experience with the kinds of questions you find on the test itself.
