## SHSAT Math: Divisibility - Chapter Summary

Use the study tools in this chapter to prepare for divisibility questions on the SHSAT exam. By the end of the chapter, you will have covered the following topics:

- What it means to be divisible
- How to visualize divisibility
- Patterns for finding divisibility
- Numbers divisible by 2-10

This chapter is divided into short video lessons lasting about five minutes apiece. Watch the lessons as many times as you'd like until you've mastered the material, or use the video tags to skip to specific points in the lesson. After you've completed the lessons, use the self-assessment quizzes to gauge your readiness for divisibility questions on the SHSAT math exam.

### SHSAT Math: Divisibility Chapter Objectives

The SHSAT exam is required to apply to New York City's specialized high schools. The lessons in this chapter correspond to questions on the math portion of the exam, which is made up of 50 multiple-choice questions. Each of these questions is either a word problem or a calculation, and students have five answers to choose from. The exam takes two and a half hours to complete.

### 1. Divisibility by 2, 3, and 4

In this video lesson, you will learn what it means to be divisible. Also, you'll see what numbers are divisible by 2, 3, and 4. You will also learn how you can check if something is divisible by these numbers.

### 2. Divisibility by 5, 6, and 7

In this video lesson, we will see what numbers can be divided equally by 5, 6, and 7. Learn the pattern that you can use to find other numbers divisible by 5, 6 and 7. Learn how you can visualize divisibility.

### 3. Divisibility by 8, 9, and 10

In this video lesson, we will see what numbers are divisible by 8, 9, and 10. You will learn how you can figure out these numbers yourself. Learn what it means to be divisible.
