Our instructors created these short lessons as a refresher for you before taking the TExES Core Subjects 4-8 test. This chapter will go over some of the different aspects of communication about which the exam may test you. The lessons will assist in answering test questions about such topics as:

  • Types and advantages of oral communication
  • Technology for developing oral communication skills
  • How to teach listening skills to children

These are text lessons and video lessons which are less than 10 minutes in length. Each lesson includes a quiz at the end to test your understanding of the materials. If you need to study any of the material in the video lessons again, you can use the written transcripts or the keyword-based timeline tool that allows you to replay any specific portion of the lesson.
