From 2018 until 2028, sales managers could see employment increase by 5%, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), and purchasing managers are expected to grow by 4%. Median annual earnings for sales managers were $124,220, the BLS reported in May 2018. That same year, the BLS found that purchasing agents, except those who purchase wholesale, retail and farm products, earned a median annual wage of $118,940.
