Multimedia animators and artists were reported to earn $72,520 in median salary as of May 2018, the BLS noted. That same salary report indicated that graphic designers had a median of $50,370, and computer programmers had $84,280 as a median annual salary.

After successfully completing an associate's degree program in interactive media design, students can enroll in a bachelor's degree program in interactive media or a related field of study, such as graphic or Web design.
