Graduates of a BBA in Healthcare Management may choose to work as managers in places such as research and development firms, nursing homes, hospitals or medical insurance companies. As of May 2015, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that the 314,950 medical and health services managers employed nationally earned a median annual salary of $94,500. The BLS also predicted a 17% increase in the number of jobs in this field between 2014 and 2024.

Continuing Education Information

Although a bachelor's degree is sufficient for entry- and mid-level medical and healthcare services managers, the BLS stated that candidates for directorships and higher-level positions often have a master's degree in healthcare administration. No license is required of most healthcare managers. However, those healthcare managers specializing in nursing care facilities are required by all states to be licensed.
