The median annual pay in May 2015 was $95,890 for advertising and promotions managers, $113,860 for sales managers and $128,750 for marketing managers, according to BLS figures.

The BLS reported wholesale and manufacturing sales representative employment growth is expected to be 7% over the 2014-2024 decade. The May 2015 median pay was $55,730 for those who sold goods other than technical and scientific products, and the median was $76,190 for those who did sell technical and scientific products.

Graduates desiring to advance their sales and marketing careers can apply to a master's degree program in sales or marketing management or pursue an MBA degree. Graduate programs explore marketing and business leadership concepts. Additionally, graduates gain experience through completing internships and projects.
