The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) predicted that the graphic design field would have tight competition during the 2014-2024 decade, with only average growth (around 1%) expected. It stated that the odds of landing a position would be more favorable for those with experience in animation and website design. In 2015, the BLS estimated that the median salary for multimedia artists and animators was $63,970, for graphic designers was $46,900 and for art directors was $89,760.
