About Bountiful, Utah

Situated at an elevation of 4,408 feet, Bountiful is located in Davis County, a suburb nine miles north of Salt Lake City. The population of Bountiful is 43,385, according to 2014 U.S. census data, and according to 2010 data, most residents, 93%, were white.

About 40% of the population 25 years of age and older have bachelor's degrees, which is higher than the state rate of 30.6%, based on 2010-2014 census data. The city's median household income for that same period, $64,360, is also higher than the state median income of $59,846.

Bountiful has a historical museum and an arts center, as well as a recreation center. There are 51 different ski resorts within about a 30-mile radius of the city, and Davis County has more than 500 miles of trails for residents to explore.

Nearby Salt Lake City is probably best known for its Mormon community, and there are several exhibitions in the area that chart religious history.

The largest school within 15 miles of Bountiful is Western Governors University, which only offers distance education programs to its 57,821 students.
