Forsyth Technical Community College

Forsyth Technical Community College (FTCC) is a 2-year, public school with a main campus located in Winston-Salem, about 65 miles northeast of Charlotte, NC. The school enrolls more than 9,000 students in more than 190 programs. The Department of Business and Information Technology offers 26 associate's degree and certificate programs, including programs in database administration.
Students enrolled in the database management certificate program must complete 12 credit hours. They gain a strong understanding of operating system maintenance, installation and management. Two other courses include SQL server training and SQL server database administration issues, both of which cover configuring and diagnosing SQL servers. The Associate in Applied Science in Database Management program focuses on database management system software and teaches students how to facilitate the information clearly. Core courses cover computer networking, database programming, computer security, operating systems and database applications.
