Formerly called St. Petersburg Junior College, St. Petersburg College (SPC) was named in 2001. The college enrolls nearly 32,000 students. Nine of the school's 11 campuses and centers are found in the St. Petersburg area. The school offers an associate's degree in drafting and design technology and a shorter certificate program in computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting.

The 62-credit-hour Associate of Science in Drafting and Design Technology program offers courses in drafting, architectural drawing, materials and building codes. Other required courses focus on AutoCad software and 3-D modeling. Students can also complete a 3-credit co-op work experience, a construction practicum or an architectural drafting practicum. The 24-credit-hour Certificate in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting program includes courses in AutoCad II and 3-D modeling, as well as SolidWorks software and applications.
