Master's Degrees in Engineering Management

The National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) administers the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam to graduates of engineering management programs that prepare students for professional engineer (PE) licensure. Candidates who pass this exam are known as engineer interns (EIs) or engineers in training (EITs). In order to qualify for state PE licensure, EIs and EITs are required to work under the supervision of engineers for four years. After meeting the experience requirements, EIs and EITs can take the Principles and Practices of Engineers (PE) exam, which can then lead to PE licensure.
