Free Education for Working professionals recently ran a survey to find out what types of people most want to get free education. Many respondents reported that they are working professionals. Although some of these professionals might want free online courses that help them to pursue hobbies, others want to gain practical knowledge to advance their careers. We've highlighted a few top resources that can help working professionals improve their professional skills and advance in the workplace. Although these courses cannot be taken for credit, they can be used for self-paced learning and professional development.

The renowned business school at MIT publishes course materials for a number of the courses it offers on campus. The offerings span both graduate and undergraduate levels. Course topics include organizational , managerial psychology, and applied economics.

Webcasts at the University of California, Berkeley

UC-Berkeley offers webcasts of numerous courses, panel discussions, and speeches. These webcasts can include both video and audio materials. If you work in business or government, you might be interested in the webcast offerings from the Goldman School of Public Policy, as well as the Center for Nonprofit and Public Leadership.
