Oral Roberts University (ORU) offers 65 undergraduate majors as well as 14 graduate and two doctoral programs. The school enrolls approximately 3,400 students annually. ORU's College of Arts and Cultural Studies is home to the Department of Communication, Arts and Media; graphic design studies are offered through this department.

Students can choose from two graphic design majors. Students in the Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design - Print program begin by taking introductory studio courses in art history, drawing and color theory. They then learn how design-related software applications can be used to manipulate a project's digital photographs, font sizes or illustrations. Elective coursework can include topics in news writing, 3-D animation or interactive media. Core coursework for the Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design - Video program is similar to that of the print concentration. However, students also take courses in computer graphics, audio production, Web page design, television production, mass media communications and marketing telecommunications.
