Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) had an enrollment of more than 29,500 students in 2018. IUPUI has nearly 20 schools and colleges with around 4,500 faculty members. The university has a student-to-faculty ratio of 15 to 1.
IUPUI offers a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Communication Design. Some BFA major courses include designer production and typography in addition to an internship and capstone portfolio. The MFA is a full-time program that has a time limit of 3 years to finish. The MFA students enjoy having the use of a large studio exclusively for graduate students, in addition to each graduate student having an individual workspace.
