Prospective international business students can choose from several colleges and universities in the Philadelphia area. Many of these schools are private institutions. Based on ranking, school size and number of degrees awarded, the following university is considered a top school in Philadelphia for international business studies:
- Winner: Temple University is the only public university in or near Philadelphia that provides degree programs in international business. It also awards the highest number of both bachelor's and master's degrees in international business of any school in Philadelphia. The programs are offered in the university's highly ranked Fox School of Business.

Founded in 1884, Temple University is home to approximately 37,000 students annually and offers more than 300 degree programs across nine campuses. With 14 academic departments and specialty programs, 170 faculty members and about 6,500 students, the Fox School of Business is one of the largest business schools in the region. Its Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs in international business.
The Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business Administration program consists of coursework in international business, area studies and foreign language studies. Majors are required to demonstrate proficiency in a second language, like Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian or Spanish. Students are also required to study abroad for a summer, semester or academic year at one of the university's overseas business partners in France, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan or Mexico.
International business courses offered include global strategic management, international financial markets and marketing, and international law. The International Executive MBA program is designed to provide students with effective management and problem-solving skills for an international business environment. It is a one-year course of study that enables students to take MBA courses in four countries. All courses are taught in English. Students choose from programs in Tokyo, Singapore, Paris or Cali, Colombia.
