There are only two schools located directly in Salt Lake City that provide studies in international business. Based on ranking, student services and level of study offered, the following university is considered a top school in Salt Lake City for international business degree programs:
- Winner: The University of Utah is a public research university and the largest in terms of student population that offers studies in international business in Salt Lake City. It is also the only postsecondary institution in the city awarding a graduate degree in this field of study. The university's David Eccles School of Business provides international business training in the form of a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program with an international emphasis.

The University of Utah is a public educational institution that has a student population of more than 30,000. Established in 1850, the university offers bachelor's degrees in more than 72 fields of study and graduate degrees in more than 90 subject areas. The David Eccles School of Business offers a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate business degree programs. At the undergraduate level, the school offers eight majors, including business administration, management and finance, and minors in business and entrepreneurship. At the graduate level, in addition to traditional Master of Business Administration programs, the school offers specialized master's degree programs in healthcare administration, finance and accounting.
Students in the Master of Business Administration with International Emphasis and Foreign Language Qualification program are required to complete a core business course sequence in addition to internationally focused electives. Core business courses include financial accounting, strategic management, information systems and organizational leadership. The international emphasis curriculum includes courses in business strategy, marketing, finance and human resource management, all with an international focus. Graduates are also awarded with a Foreign Language Qualification certificate. In order to qualify for the program, students must have minored in a foreign language at their undergraduate institution or be equally proficient in a foreign language as someone with such a minor.
