According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS, www.bls.gov), the median annual salary earned by network and computer systems administrators in May 2018 was $82,050. The same year, the Bureau indicated that computer user support specialists earned a median salary of $50,980 annually. The employment of network and computer systems administrators is projected to grow by about 5% during the decade spanning from 2018 to 2028. Computer support specialists will see job opportunities in their field increase by 10% over that same decade, the BLS predicts.
