The mean annual wage for these workers was $141,000, reported the BLS in May 2015.

For top executives, employment growth of 6% percent is expected from 2014 to 2024, the BLS noted. Chief executives were reported to earn a mean annual wage of $175,110 as of May 2015.

MBA holders looking to increase their education for academia or research pursuits in e-commerce can complete a Ph.D. program. Doctoral degree programs examine theories in supply chain management, e-commerce marketing, qualitative research and mobile security.
