Continuing Education Information

Doctoral programs in media arts are offered through a variety of universities. Some programs focus on the redefinition of boundaries between humans and technology by inventing technologies that are programmed to understand human behavior. Other programs focus more on the artistic side of media design for new interactive functions. These programs take 3-4 years to complete for students entering with a master's degree, and they allow students to tailor their academic experience to their research interests.

Even though it is not possible to find a master's degree program focused entirely on interactive communications, there are multiple programs that offer a specialization in the field that can prepare graduates for careers in design or IT.
