Students of the Associate in Science in Histologic Technology program take a series of courses addressing laboratory safety, immunochemistry, cytogenetics and staining techniques. These courses combine classroom instruction with lab experiences.. In the Associate in Science in Medical Laboratory Technology program, students learn to prepare and scrutinize microscope slides to find abnormal cells and count healthy cells.
