Graduates from online BBA in Finance degree programs often work as financial analysts, although some employers require a master's degree. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (, financial analysts held 277,600 jobs in 2014 and employment is expected to grow faster than average, at a rate of 12%, from 2014-2024. Some online finance BBA degree programs include MBA courses in the syllabus and graduates are awarded a simultaneous BBA in Finance and Master of Business Administration.

Though not required, financial certifications are also available to enhance professional standing in the field. One is the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, which requires a bachelor's degree and four years of experience. In addition, hundreds of hours of self-study are necessary to successfully pass three exams covering financial topics.

Bachelor's business administration in finance programs are available entirely online, with the exception of internships and proctored exams in some cases. Students will learn accounting and economic principles, and may go on work as financial analysts.
