Essential Information

Due to the hands-on nature of the work, fully online beautician training programs are rare. Continuing education courses, which are usually required by states for those currently employed in the field, are more commonly found online. All states require beauticians to be licensed; however, states may have different eligibility requirements, so students should make sure any online classes or programs will fulfill those requirements.

Besides an updated computer system and Internet access, students enrolled in online beautician courses may also need to purchase their own tools and beauty supplies. Some schools include certain supplies in the tuition and ship these items to the student's home.
