Master of Public Health in Community Health Education

An online Master of Public Health (MPH) in community health education program is designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to offer educational resources and promote public health within communities, groups and organizations. Students examine the theories and processes involved in planning and implementing health education programs, prevention initiatives and health policy advocacy. MPH programs usually require a field experience or capstone project component that requires students to volunteer or intern with a local health agency. Thesis and non-thesis options are available.

Requirements

An online graduate degree in community health education is designed to be completed in 2 years and typically requires 42-45 credit hours of health education and public health coursework. In many programs, all courses can be completed entirely online.
