Essential Information

A Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree can be earned entirely online, although some programs may require visits to campus for seminars, conferences and presentations. Students have many options for specialization within these programs, such as international business, accounting, management and healthcare administration. Many DBA programs allow students to put together a curriculum that fits their career goals.

DBA programs are designed to train top executives, and experience in a business leadership role is required for admission. A master's degree is not mandatory, but students may get credit for certain courses if they have taken them in a master's program. The curriculum includes courses in business ethics, communications and theory, with a strong emphasis on current topics in the business world.
