The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported in May 2015 that the average annual salary for commercial and industrial designers was $69,820.

Continuing Education Information
As of July 2015, schools did not offer doctoral degree programs in industrial design. However, a small number are offering interdisciplinary design doctorates aimed at investigating fundamental problems in contemporary design and the practice of design. Doctoral degree programs in design are not presently available online.
